Farewell

I started the Genreflecting website back in 1996 hosted at mancon.com (a game publisher!). Sometime around the turn of the century my publisher was bought by a bigger company and they claimed the title Genreflecting belonged to them so I changed the domain name to Genrefluent. The eighth edition of Genreflecting, my 12th book, is due to be released on May 31, 2019 and this seems like a good time to retire from the web. It was a joy to work with Sam Stavole-Carter and Cindy Orr on it as well as with all the other contributors, and co-authors throughout the years. It been great sharing books with you over a couple decades. I was lucky enough to work with Barbara Ittner, the best editor in the world, for several years but with her no longer with Libraries Unlimited, editing this wonderful series, I will go onto other ventures.

I've been staying more than busy with a full time position as Youth Collections Librarian for a multi-branch library district, serving on YALSA's Morris Award Committee, reviewing for Booklist, and a dozen other commitments. I've decided to change direction in my book writing and am working on a project currently titled Life on the Edge. You will still be able to find me on Twitter @genrelibrarian
